THE "GIFTING" PROCESS
Symbols of Love Organization board members participated in monthly meetings, at which time charities and/or non-profits are reviewed and chosen. Each of the charities and/or non-profit entities are then processed for qualification by our staff members; by checking their non-profit status is current with the IRS, at which time the qualifying applicants are given to our Board of Directors for further review, a final decision is made through deliberation, based upon the charity or non-profits utmost urgent need of assistance, coupled along side our current available funding. Your needs are recognized by us through our donations to these such charities and non-profit organizations.
FINAL DECISION
Symbols of Love Organization has an extremely difficult decision to make. Final qualifying charities and/or non-profit organizations are gathered, and those whom we are able to greater impact are chosen by our Board of Directors, and along with the review of the President of Symbols of Love Organization, a final decision(s) is then made and the qualified charity and/or non-profit entity is notified of our gift (grant) shortly thereafter.
Sadly, given our limitations and financial restraints not all qualified causes will be gifted hope (granted assistance), funding is always disbursed directly to the charity, non-profit, or care facility/hospital, which the funds shall be awarded.
DONATIONS & GRANTS
Symbols of Love Organization is fully funded by its generous donors & grantors, and therefore, funding is limited. Not all qualified charities and/or non-profit entities are granted funding. Symbols of Love Organization does not provide financial assistance directly to individuals or families, we do so through grants/donations to our listed charitable and non-profit service providers.

Symbol of Love Organization does not discriminate. All determination of financial assistance eligibility is based upon governmental requirements for non-profit organizations along with Symbols of Love Organization Corporate requirements. Denial of assistance is either based upon the applicant not having met the minimum requirements and/or criteria, or financial restraints due to lack of funding for and by Symbols of Love Organization. Final decision(s) and outcome is NEVER based upon; race, color, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, marital status, creed, age, sex or disability.
All applications are accepted and processed on the express condition and agreement by the applicant that Symbols of Love Organization and/or any of its affiliates and/or Governing Board Members, Board of Directors or staffing are to be excluded from any lawsuit arising from or out of the applicants acceptance or denial of their submitted application. The applicant is agreeing to indemnify and save harmless Symbols of Love Organization and or any of its affiliates and/or Governing Board Members, Board of Directors or staffing from all liability, loss, cost, and obligations on account of or arising out of any such health issues, injuries or losses however occurring. Symbols of Love Organization is a nonprofit California Corporate "Public Charity" and is not owned by any one individual or corporate group.
WHO WE ARE
Symbols of Love Organization is not a hospital or healthcare facility, nor are we affiliated with such. We generate the funding that assists families, as well as individuals, through our donations to qualifying charities and other non-profits. We are there for those who have found themselves within a less than fortunate life situation, those whom are physically and or mentally unable to obtain suitable housing, food, clothing or medical care for whatever reason.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
Please Note: many of our non-affiliated service providers require the following documentaion:
1. Completed application for financial assistance.
2. Complete copy of your most recent Federal Income Tax Return and all schedules. Include copies of last year's W-2 forms.
3. Copies of the three most recent, paycheck stubs or a statement from the employer.
4. Copies of three most recent bank statements (e.g., savings, checking, money market, IRA, 401K, etc.).
5. Copies of unemployment, disability compensation benefits statements.
6. Copies of social security or pension benefits income.
7. Copy of food stamp allocation.
8. Copies of government assistance notices (including Department of Health & Human Services).
9. And finally check the US Health & Human Services Federal Poverty Measure. (Information & Charts) at the links below.
Symbols of Love Organization is desperately in need of funding, we are in no position at this current time to accept any applications for financial assistance. Please bare with us, as we are working hard to generate the funding necessary to gift hope, where hope had once been forgotten. As we diligently work toward raising funds required to change the lives of those in need.
